“Guru and God both appear before me. To whom should I prostrate? I bow before Guru who
introduced God to me.” – Kabir
Guru Purnima is the day to felicitate gurus for they are the ones who prepare students to take on
the onerous task of nation building. We are highly obliged to all gurus for shouldering this
tremendous responsibility and so Presidium Raj Nagar observed Guru Purnima to offer tribute to
their preceptors for uncovering the potential and purpose of their lives. A special assembly was dedicated to the teachers, the ‘Gurus’ to mark the event replete with speeches and songs. Speeches and shlokas were read out from the Gita and the puranas which highlighted the importance of the Guru in our lives. Also, the Presidians cherished their teachers’ efforts for their reverence and gratitude for
showing them the right path. Students also performed a musical ballet to showcase the role of gurus in fostering excellence and shaping the minds and characters of the young people in their charge. Truly, it is days like these that serve to keep alive the ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’ in the school!
