Young Presidians participated in the 2nd Inter Presidium Skating Championship held at Presidium Dwarka 22, where around 300 Students participated from all the Presidium Branches. Aarav Sharma (Grade 2E) from Presidium Raj Nagar won the Bronze Medal in the 300 meters quads event of the Championship. Congratulations to our proud winner and the mentors!

Hindi is the language of the masses, a language that unites the diversity of a nation like India. To commemorate this glorious language, 14th September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas throughout the nation with great excitement and zeal. Keeping with the tradition, students of Presidium Raj Nagar conducted a special assembly to honour the official language of the nation. Students prepared speeches to highlight the wonderful history of Hindi. A skit was also prepared to pay tribute to the language. The assembly culminated with the students taking a pledge to honour Hindi not just for a single day.

The book of life is filled with incoherent riddles. Riddles provide students with an opportunity to think, learn and develop their minds for the challenges of life. Taking this into consideration, Presidium Raj Nagar organized a ‘Bujho to Jaane’ activity for the students of grade 2. The activity focused on strengthening the descriptive skills of students and giving them an opportunity to communicate their feelings, thoughts and emotions using appropriate words. It was an educational and wonderful experience for the students.

Students are inquisitive by nature. They love to explore. If a child cannot learn through the way we teach, we must teach in a way the child can learn. Keeping this in mind, a Word Making Activity was organized for students of grade 1 at Presidium Raj Nagar which enabled them to recognize new words and improve their comprehension of language. This activity focused on enhancing their ability to learn spellings of new words and improve their vocabulary. Also, it helped them in breaking out of their comfort zone and mingle with others. This activity was a fruitful engagement for the children.

Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Lord Ganesha is the symbol of wisdom and remover of obstacles. Students of Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated this auspicious day with religious fervour. They showcased their talent in music, poem recitation and dance while depicting the life of Lord Vinayaka. It was followed by a prize distribution ceremony to acknowledge the talented students of Presidium school.

‘Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.’
An Inter Class General Knowledge Quiz Competition was organized for the students of grades 1 to 3. There were four rounds in the Quiz- Content and Knowledge, Audio-Visual, General awareness and Rapid-Fire. The competition was conducted in order to settle the curiosity of the students and expose them to new facets of the general awareness. Every round was a mixed bag with questions from current affairs, sports, human body parts, etc. The participants took part in the competition with great enthusiasm and zeal.

SPELLATHON: PRESIDIANS DISPLAY THEIR GRASP OVER WORDS & SPELLINGS

Spellathon is a fun activity that makes spellings easy to teach and fun to learn. Keeping this in mind, an Intra-Class Spellathon competition was conducted at Presidium Raj Nagar for the students of grades 6 to 8. The competition aimed at enhancing students’ vocabulary, improving pronunciation and understanding of words. There were six rounds: warm up round, jumbled words, similar words, audio-visual and guess the word. There was a neck to neck competition as all the participants were well prepared, which showed their interest and command over the language.

Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated Teachers' Day with great zeal. The school premises were filled with an unusual excitement. The students of senior grades took over the duties of teachers to make their teachers feel special. A special assembly was held where the students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. The teachers were overwhelmed by this sweet gesture of the students with their happiness evident on their smiling faces. The celebration ended on a positive note by the school Principal, who addressed the staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success.

PRESIDIANS TURN THE STAGE TO VRINDAVAN TO CELEBRATE JANMASHTAMI

Janmashtami is a festival that marks the birth of the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna. To observe this festival, a special assembly was organized by the students of Presidium Raj Nagar. The Presidians of grades Nursery, Prep and 1 presented a lovely dance performance on the life of Lord Krishna. It was followed by a poem recitation. A skit was also presented by the Presidians wherein they enacted various facets of Shri Krishna’s life and turned the stage into Vrindavan. The students clad in traditional dresses, donned the roles of Krishna and Gopikas and were elated to swing the Krishna Jhoola. The assembly concluded with students singing the Arti ‘Kunj Bihari Ji Ki’ and seeking blessings of the Almighty.
