World Youth Skills Day highlights the opportunities and challenges that young people face in employment, and this year Presidium has organized the online panel discussion focusing on skills for resilient Youth in the Era of COVID-19 and beyond. The impact of the COVID-19 crisis on skills development and therefore to explore strategies in response to the unfolding economic crisis. This will help in preparing young people to develop their capacities to respond to rapid changes in employment and entrepreneurship in sectors that are hardest hit by the crisis. Therefore we can say that this in the long term is to adapt skills development systems to changes in the economy of the world that the COVID-19 pandemic and recession will bring. Various other activities were also conducted to mark the occasion.

Art and craft activities have always been a favoured medium to stimulate and develop creativity within students. Poster making and poster presentation are some of the ways of voicing the expression of learning among students. The theme of the poster making was 'Secularism.' Secularity is best understood, not as being anti-religious, but as being 'religiously neutral.' Students of Presidium were introduced to this topic and they were extremely zealous to demonstrate their views on this theme and highlighted the significance of 'Being India a Secular state.' It was an overwhelming activity, where students showcased their understanding of the theme.

कक्षा 9 के विद्यार्थियों का रचनात्मक कौशल बढ़ाने हेतु पाठ्यक्रम से नारा लेखन सिखाया गया । इसके अंतर्गत दिनांक 2 जुलाई को विद्यार्थियों द्वारा नारा लेखन गतिविधि करवाई गई | इस गतिविधि में कक्षा के सभी विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया | नारे लिखने के लिए विद्यार्थियों को कुछ विषय दिए गए थे । बच्चों ने दिए गए विषयों पर सुंदर नारे लिखे व उनसे संबंधित चित्र भी बनाए | नारा लेखन गतिविधि को करवाने का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों की मौलिकता तथा रचनात्मकता को बढ़ावा देना था | गतिविधि के दौरान विद्यार्थियों ने बहुत ही सजगता और रूचि का प्रदर्शन किया, जो सराहनीय है |

At Presidium activities are our way to re-explore concepts and skills that the students learn in a span of a month. It gives us an opportunity to brush up their knowledge as well as mark areas for improvement. A distinctive activity related to Constellations under the theme Sky was conducted for Grade 3 students as a medium of practical learning readdress the concept taught so far. The objective was to provide students with opportunities and challenges to become an expert in creating and imagining their own constellations. Activity through virtual classes were organised to put on their thinking caps again and add a fun element to TBL academic topic. The little Presidians of Grade 3 actively participated in this activity and enjoyed a day full of fun and learning. This exciting activity encouraged their comprehensive development in all domains.

To make learning fun and last forever and to keep our students constructively busy, we at Presidium School make students learn with fun. Keeping the same view in consideration, students of Grade 6 were involved in a fantastic Pronoun Pizza activity, wherein they made pizza slices using paper, colours and decorated their pizza with toppings as pronouns (he, she, them, etc.) with their own example sentences. This activity helped them boost their understanding of Pronouns which was a great experience for them to apply their knowledge in a creative manner.

On Doctor’s Day, students of Presidium expressed their gratitude towards doctors for their dedicated and selfless services, especially during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students watched a video highlighting the contributions of the medical fraternity to society and paid their respects by saluting and clapping for them. They had also participated in various activities such as role-play, crown making, slogan writing. These contributions were a salute to the doctors working in the forefront amid the pandemic.
