FUN WAY OF LEARNING MATHEMATICS KEEPS FEAR AT BAY!

Presidium strongly emphasizes Experiential Learning and encourages the use of tools and techniques to implement it. Keeping the same view in mind and in order to promote the use of innovative ways for developing Number Sense, Mathematical Concepts and Reasoning, Presidium Raj Nagar organised a Maths Activity for students of Grade 5. The students learnt the formation of numbers using Dienes Blocks. The activity aimed to promote Critical Thinking and Problem Solving in classroom with the help of Jodo Gyan kits. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by students as it fostered their analytical skills. Students felt that learning through this approach was quite an amusing experience and felt confident about the subject, thus eliminating fear of mathematics.
ASTRONOMY WORKSHOP: YOUNG SCIENTISTS EXPLORE THE WORLD OF SCIENCE

Presidium believes in empowering the students by giving them the requisite exposure in every field. Keeping the same view in mind, Presidium Raj Nagar organised an Astronomy Workshop to nurture the minds of budding scientists. The activities in the Workshop were aimed to trigger the scientific temper and critical thinking of the students. The Presidians not only got acquainted
with the Importance and Scope of Astronomy as a career but also witnessed a demonstration of a working model of a Rocket Launcher. They were totally captivated by the experience which altogether took them to the journey of the fascinating world of celestial bodies.
WELCOMING A HARVEST OF HAPPINESS WITH BAISAKHI CELEBRATIONS
Presidium Raj Nagar rejoiced the bounteous festival of Baisakhi as the students of grades 1 to 5 conducted a wonderful assembly to mark the day. The talented Presidians spread joy and optimism among all with their spectacular musical performances, poems and speeches. They also reflected upon the importance of this festival by showcasing the Punjabi culture.The motive behind the celebration was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage. Towards the end of the assembly, they also shared their views about the importance of celebrating festivals and how everyone must celebrate every little moment of their life wholeheartedly.

LET’S PAINT THE TOWN IN THE COLOURS OF LOVE & JOY THIS HOLI!Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated the festival of colours with great enthusiasm and excitement. A special assembly was organised for the occasion. Several performances enthralled everyone. The celebrations ended with the students playing holi with natural and herbal colours and wishing happy holi to their teachers and friends.
PRESIDIANS ENHANCE LANGUAGE SKILLS WITH SENTENCE MAKING ACTIVITY!
‘Children learn as they play, in play they learn how to learn.’ Children are intrigued by nature. To continue with the fun learning experience, a ‘Sentence making activity’ was organized for the students of grade 2 enabling them to form new sentences and improve their innovative skills on the language. This classroom activity allowed students to make choices relevant to their imagination and real life experiences. Students were involved physically, they became more motivated and interested. This activity was focused on enhancing the spelling skills as well as vocabulary. They were able to self-evaluate their skills. It provided an opportunity to the young Presidians to have a positive take on their teachers as well as peers. It was a fruitful experience for the Presidians.
PRESIDIANS BUILD SMART MODELS IN EVS ACTIVITY
Believing in the concept of learning by doing, Presidium Raj Nagar organised an EVS activity wherein students made beautiful models on various concepts related to the subject. The activity also helped students enhance their communication and presentation skills as they explained their models with great confidence. It was a great learning experience for everybody.
HOLI FESTIVITIES BEGIN WITH AN INTERESTING CRAFTS ACTIVITY!
Holi festivities began at Presidium Raj Nagar with a fun hand printing activity. Students played with vibrant colours as they imprinted their hands on sheets of paper. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all!
PRESIDIANS LEARN IN A FUN WAY THROUGH 'PICK & ACT' ACTIVITY
A Pick & Act activity was organised for the young Presidians wherein the students acted and guessed the names of some commonly used objects. The aim was to make students better at presenting their thoughts and build team spirit. It was a great learning experience for the young students!
SOCIAL SCIENCE ACTIVITY: A SKIT PRESENTATION ON ‘MARGINALISATION’
Marginalization refers to the insignificant and inappropriate treatment a person or a group receives from others. In a school, it is very important to understand the importance of marginalization. Therefore, to bring forth this understanding among students and to make them realize its importance, student of Grade 8 performed a skit on the topic of marginalization. They performed the activity in groups, taking real life situations to understand the concept as well the importance of marginalization not only in schools but also in other places around them. Using creativity and awareness, students presented the skits beautifully. They carefully chose their dialogues and props to share their views on the topic. It was a great learning experience for the students.
