Presidium celebrated National Science Day to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist C.V. Raman. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for his discovery. Students enjoyed Science Day by performing experiments in both Chemistry and Physics. They performed Redox titration in Chemistry and found the molarity and strength of potassium permanganate by titrating it against M/20 Oxalic acid. After the experiment, students understood that they can accurately determine the concentration of an unknown analyzer by measuring it against a standardized titrant. While in Physics they found the focal length of the convex lens and learned to find the radius of the curvature and aperture of the lens and observed the position of image formation.

Collage is the art of cutting and pasting papers, fabrics, and other media onto paper or canvas. To enrich students’ experience in pictorial composition through the handling of new materials, we, at Presidium, planned a collage-making activity on the topic ‘Winter Season.’ Making a collage helps a child build Fine Motor Skills. It’s also a fun way to encourage a child's awareness of colour and texture. And if we talk with our child about his collage it helps his language development too. Children's divergent thinking was challenged when they had to decide what to use and how best to use the material to express themselves. We witnessed the usage of various skills in the collages made by our kids.
