Good health is the main source of happiness in life; it helps in maintaining the smile on your face. World Health Day was celebrated by the Presidians during their virtual classes. Poster making activity was organized wherein all the students made an informative poster on "World Health Day." An interactive online session was organized wherein the students were made aware of good health and emphasized good eating habits, washing hands before and after eating food, brushing twice a day, performing physical exercises, and playing sports.
Presidium had organized few activities for students during their online and offline classes, to mark the auspicious festival of Holi. On one side, our tiny tots made beautiful posters on Holi, and on the other side, our big ones celebrated the festival during their offline classes. Since we all know that in the prevailing scenario, we need to follow the protocol and guidelines to play safe Holi, we took care of all the measures and precautions. The students commenced the day by putting on a TILAK and seeking the blessings of their mentors, to commemorate the day, holi colours were applied on hands, some speeches were organized to enlighten everybody about the true spirit of Holi. We ended the day with the sweet distribution. Everybody appreciated the efforts put in by the students to change the scenario into a light-hearted festive mood.
Like every year, this year as well Presidium celebrated World Water Day. This program was presided over by the teachers. After a short welcoming address from the teachers, students delivered a presentation about the importance of Water in our daily life. The program then proceeded with the presentation of several slides prepared by the teachers featuring the importance of every drop of water. Students made numerous posters to generate awareness among all to 'Save Water.'
The quest for knowledge, like everything else of value, is not to be obtained easily. It must be worked for, studied for, thought for, and more than that must be prayed for. To encourage the students to widen their knowledge about the things happening in and around the world and updating their facts and figures, Presidium organized a Quiz Competition for Grade 9 Leaders of Tomorrow. The quiz was prepared and conducted with the wonderful and efficient Social Science team with the utmost precision and expertise. The quest had three different levels, scaling from easy to hard. And with each round, more and more students qualified, and some out stood the others. In the end, we had three outstanding performers, shining bright, who were awarded for their victory.
Fit India Movement is a nation-wide campaign that aims at encouraging people to include physical activities and sports in their everyday lives. In compliance with this movement, Presidium participated excitedly and supported this initiative and made necessary arrangements to review the Fit India Movement launched by our Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in New Delhi last year. As per the CBSE guidelines, we made a fitness plan to incorporate the same in students and staff's daily physical activities and ultimately in school's daily routine through online classes and modes. A plethora of activities were conducted under the campaign of the Fit India Movement. Students participated in Ball Balance drill, Cat exercise, lunges, Aerobics, Rope Skipping, Dance Jogging, Squats, different types of sports, and Yoga.
