MATH ACTIVITY: PRESIDIANS INDULGE IN BRAIN TEASING ACTIVITIES
Mathematics can be one of the most interesting as well as the most difficult subjects. With an aim to create interest among students regarding the subject, Presidium Raj Nagar recently organised a Math Activity. Students presented the subject in the most innovative and interesting way. They displayed various theorems and the concept of ‘speed math’ through charts and presentations. The activity provided a great way for the students to learn something new with a different approach.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION ON 70TH REPUBLIC DAY
Republic Day is a grand event in our country. It is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm on 26th of January to honour the Constitution of India. Students of Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated the 70th Republic Day with sheer patriotism. Ms. Megha Verma, Director Presidium Raj Nagar, Shri Ravikant Gupta and Shri Nishant Jain, founders Presidium Raj Nagar joined the students and staff for the celebration. The young Presidians from Grades Nursery and Prep also presented a dance to show their love for the country. This was followed by a Taekwondo presentation and a Nukkad Natak by highlighting the societal issues that should be taken care of by all of us. The assembly culminated with a patriotic dance leaving us with a thought ‘Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country.’
PRESIDIANS SWAY TO THE BEATS AT INTERCLASS DANCE COMPETITION
Dance is a hidden language of the soul and of the body. It is not only body moving to the beats but the mind and soul too get in sync with the rhythm of life. With an aim of honing the dance skills of students, an Inter Class Dance Competition was organized at Presidium Raj Nagar. The theme of the competition was Indian Folk dances. The fun filled extravaganza offered various folk dance forms such as Bhangra, Kathak, Bharatnatyam etc. The children dressed up in colourful costumes swayed to the beats of folk music. These vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances dancing with grace and poise. The ability they displayed and the enthusiasm and energy exhibited, was awe-inspiring.
PRESIDIUM RAJ NAGAR HOLDS AN INNOVATIVE & INTERACTIVE PTM SESSION
‘Creativity is as important now as literacy in education and we should treat it the same’. Presidium Raj Nagar is a place where students learn a whole gamut of subjects be it curricular or co-curricular. Keeping this in mind, a PTM was organized showcasing the talents and skills of students of grades 4 to 9. The day was a mixture of acknowledging the year long achievements of the young Presidians and a lot of fun and joy that students spread with their performances on stage. The emphasis was on the importance of having fun and health benefits of physical fitness, through activities and on being friends with your children as conveyed by the Head of the School, Ms Shraddha Aggarwal. As a part of the cultural programme the students of grade 4-6 presented a Nukad Natak on Right to equality whereas the students of grade 7-9 gave a spectacular performance through a Skit on Women Empowerment. The day culminated with an experience sharing session with the parents.
TEACHERS LEARN ABOUT THE 'POWER OF BEING' WITH MRS. SUDHA GUPTA
A motivational seminar was recently conducted by the honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta on the ‘Power of Being’ at Presidium Raj Nagar. Mrs. Gupta discussed about the 10 Mantras and 3 Guru Mantras with an aim to motivate and inspire teachers to enhance their teaching skills and delivering when it comes to students. Ma’am’s inspirational words infused everyone with a vigour to emerge successful in their field of work. The seminar proved to be a guiding instrument for the staff to transform everyday circumstances into an opportunity for great accomplishments.
A JOYFUL LOHRI CELEBRATION WITH OUR DEAR SUDHA MA’AM
‘It is the time of the year when the sound of dhol is in the air. So dance to the beats and express that you
care while you share’. Lohri is a popular North Indian folk festival. It is a harvest festival in which people eat sheaves of roasted corn and til rice. To keep up with the celebrations, Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated this festival and welcomed 2019 with a big smiles and positivity. The event was graced by the honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. Ma’am lit the bonfire marking the initiation of the celebration. Teachers performed breathtaking folk dance, including ‘Gidda’ and ‘Bhangra’. It was a memorable day for everyone as they expressed their heartiest greetings to their loved ones.
PRESIDIANS BRING FORTH THEIR CREATIVE ZEAL AT AD MAD COMPETITION
Advertisements are commercials that are designed to get the attention of consumers. It requires creative faculty and some quirk to find a place in the minds of the viewers. An Ad-Mad Competition was recently organised for the students of grade 4. The idea behind conducting this competition was to provide a platform to participants to explore their creativity and stage presence skills. Students presented an Ad on the topic ‘Stationery’ wherein they used their creativity and imagination to make an interesting appeal in front of their peers. They were marked on the following criteria- Clarity, impact, creativity, appeal, & simplicity. The competition gave an opportunity to bring out individual and collective talent of the students. It was a visual bliss to watch them performing with great zeal and enthusiasm.
PRESIDIANS BID A FUN ADIEU TO THE YEAR GONE BY!
‘Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us’. Presidium , Raj Nagar bid a befitting farewell to the year 2018 by organizing class party and fun activities. The students of grade Nursery and Prep participated actively in New Year Resolution Craft Activity wherein they shared their resolutions with their teachers and friends. They also relished sumptuous food during the hour long class party followed by a Dance Session. The fun-filled celebrations concluded with special wishes from teachers and peers. It was a visual bliss to watch all the students participate enthusiastically in the activity.
PRESIDIANS PERFORM SUPERBLY IN QUIZ BASED ON INDIAN INVENTIONS
Presidium Raj Nagar recently hosted a quiz competition for the students of grade 7 & 8 on the topic ‘The Great Indian Inventions’. Questions on the inventions by Indian Inventors and the history around these inventions were asked during the first round. Students were asked about the countries who have patented numerous Indian inventions. Students selected in the round one will get the opportunity to represent Presidium at the Science Museum, Delhi. It was great learning experience for the participants as they learned about the rich scientific heritage of India.
MRS GUPTA ADDS TO THE CARNIVAL MEMORIES WITH HER BENIGN PRESENCE
The festivities of the grand Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas Carnival of Presidium Raj Nagar was complete with the presence of the honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The young Presidians welcomed Ma’am with great warmth and love. The proceedings of the carnival began with a cake cutting ceremony with our dear Sudha Ma’am. Ma’am wished the students and staff good luck for the event.
